Last quarter for the year has finally started to slow down for October – December 2013 Koh Samui News.
There has been a increased demand from last year for rental property in the price range 40,000, 60,000 Baht.
Inquiries have been evenly distributed over land, Condos and Villas. Villas, and Condos selling mainly in the 8ml to 16ml Baht price range, more often for the idea of a second home and when not in use as a rental.
There have been some new Condo developments starting next year in the price range from 1.5 ml up. These are selling well with the locals making sure they don’t miss out.
There have been some changes in the areas in which Condo construction will be allowed. This will bring pressure on Condo prices in the future. With that we would expect to see that demand for Condos will be string as limited sites being available under new regulations.
Our Top end of the market 50 ml plus seems to have got new life with a number of beautiful Villas in the Plai Laem area selling fast.
Inquiries for the new year have been firm. Many potential clients saying they will be visiting Samui in the early new year. We are expecting a busy New year period with many hotels already indicating bookings are high.
