October – December Koh Samui Real Estate and Property Report 2018
It’s been a very interesting time in Koh Samui the last quarter with much to report on.
Firstly, we need to let you know that we are currently rebuilding the Property Research Thailand website and are pleased to announce our launch on the 1st January 2019. We are excited to be moving to a mobile friendly platform and the website will feature some great search functionality and some tremendous listings with our focus still on Condos and Land but now also in the Koh Samui Luxury Villa market. Our clients will be pleased to know we are still focusing on the usual Property Research Thailand properties and have been working hard in the background to raise the profile and get an externally strong presence in the emerging Koh Samui Luxury market to ensure we can still offer the best local fact based information on any property.
Last Qaurter
October, November and December thus far has been a mixed bag in terms of client interest and the particular segments of the market interest has been shown in. We have seen plenty of activity still in the Condo and Apartments sales, which seem to be rather resilient with a large proportion of enquires still looking for that entry level type of property. We are also seeing lots of interest in the 15-20 million THB Villa market with many clients searching presently and conducting due diligence albeit from a distance with a view to arriving early in the new year to progress with the property desires.
The high season is almost upon us and the island is gearing up for what will be a very busy high season. Bookings for rentals and hotels and accommodation in general are very high and limited availability is expected from the Christmas period though to the end of March at least.
And finally
Local news being we had not really had much of a wet season in October and November however December we have seen plenty of rain up to mid month. It’s pleasing to see that the work the local governments have been working on this year with drainage and new resurfacing of the Ring road recently completed which have really made a huge difference.
